ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE - BSC (HONS)

Students studying on the Business Administration and Business Computing degree programmes at P.A. College can enter Keele University with advanced standing on the University’s ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE - BSC (HONS) degree programme.

Students will develop expertise in accounting and finance, through both theoretical and practical study, together with the intellectual curiosity to enable them to make an immediate and effective contribution in their chosen career. The University’s computer laboratories are equipped with industry-leading software such as Bloomberg, STATA, Thomson Reuters and Sage Accounting Software, providing students with an opportunity to use work-based technologies which will give them the confidence and the skills needed to make them stand out from the crowd.

Students can further build on this experience by choosing either a placement year, international year or entrepreneurship year between years two and three of their studies. Students will study accountancy with a specialism in finance, exploring the design and use of accounting and financial systems and how they are affected by individuals, organisations, markets and society. Core financial and management accounting modules will be supported with the opportunity to study specialist topics such as taxation, corporate governance and audit. Finance modules are designed to introduce and explore the theories leading to the design of financial institutions, the services they provide and the products they sell. Observational and analytical skills will be developed and practiced throughout their study. For additional information on the programme click on the link below.
