Graduation Ceremony 2013

The graduation ceremony of P.A. College was held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Larnaca Municipal Theatre. The graduation ceremony signified the completion of another highly successful academic year that marked P.A. College’s thirty years of academic excellence and quality.

 

The Minister of Communications and Works, Mr. Tasos Mitsopoulos, honoured the ceremony with his presence. Among the distinguished guests were also the Honourable Mayor of Larnaca, Mr. Andreas Louroutziatis, the external examiner, Professor Duska Rosenberg of the University of London and other guests who appreciate the contribution of the College in the city of Larnaca.

 

In his speech, the Director of the College, Dr. Andreas Patsalides, referred to his vision that led him, thirty years ago, to create the first higher educational institution in Larnaca. The College has established itself as the pinnacle of university level Business Schools in Cyprus by providing excellent educational and research services and significantly contributing to the socioeconomic development of the country.

 

In addition, Mr. Mitsopoulos praised the excellent educational and research work conducted by P.A. College as well as the quality of the graduates.  He advised and urged the graduates to earnestly work hard with morals and values that they have been nurtured with during their studies at PA College.

 

Moreover, Professor Duska Rosenberg noted that during her auditing work as an external examiner of the College, she has formed the opinion that the standards of P.A. College and its students are extremely high and comparable to the well-known British universities.  In specific she referred to the University of Cambridge and University of London where she also acts as an external examiner.

 

The Mayor of Larnaca recognised and honoured the educational and social contribution of the visionary and tireless pioneer of education, Dr. Andreas Patsalides.

 

Farewell speeches were delivered by the graduating students, Andrea Kkolou in English and Emily Kyriacou in Greek. The students thanked the Administration of the College for its continuous financial and moral support and the faculty for their academic guidance and support.

 

During the ceremony graduating students received their degrees and special prizes were awarded to students who run first in their class or excelled in specific modules of their respective degree programmes.

 

Special thanks to all the individuals and organisations that have provided prizes. After the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held for all guests in the gardens of the Municipal Theatre.
