Academic Recognitions

The high quality and standards of education offered by P.A. College have been recognised in a variety of ways: 

 

  • P.A. College has registered its Business Administration and Business Computing Degree Programmes with the Ministry of Education and Culture and has achieved an accredited status. The submission of the rest of the programmes to the Ministry Authorities for approval of proposed changes in their structure, is scheduled for the current academic year. 
  • Supportive and favourable reports from the External Monitors and External Examiners on the quality of the education provided and the standards achieved by the students.
  • Success of its graduates in postgraduate and other further education programmes they undertake, particularly Master's level programmes offered by UK Institutions.
  • Students who complete a part of their studies at P.A. College and would like to transfer onto a similar programme offered by an overseas university or another institution in Cyprus or overseas, can do so without any loss of credit hours completed.
  • P.A. College graduates have been accepted by many UK universities including the following:
  • Aston University, Bath University, Birmingham University, Bristol University, Cardiff University, Exeter University, Hull University, Imperial College, University of London, Kent University, Leeds University, Leicester University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Nottingham University, Stirling University, Surrey University, UMIST.
  • Exemptions to successful students on its courses from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Association of International Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.


ACCA


P.A. College is the only private tertiary education institution in Cyprus to be awarded 9 exemptions out of the 14 papers required for the ACCA professional qualification. Graduates of the Business Administration B.A. (Hons) Degree programme specializing in Accounting and Finance can claim up to 9 exemptions provided they successfully complete the subjects specified.

 

In addition, students on the same specialization can prepare for the remaining 5 subjects towards the ACCA professional qualification by making the right option module selection as part of the degree programme.


AIA

Students who select the Accounting and Finance pathway of the Business Administration degree programme, are exempted from the 12 out of the 16 papers towards the AIA (Association of International Accountants) professional qualification. The remaining four papers can be covered as part of the degree scheme, thus enabling the students simply to revise before taking the AIA external examinations. Examination sessions are normally available in November and May every year.


CIM

Students who select the Marketing Management specialization are exempted from a number of the requirements towards the Postgraduate Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Students in this specialisation can build on their exemptions, complete the remaining requirements and claim CIM professional qualification.

 

 Other Exemptions and Advantages

 

  •  Only P.A. College's graduates are awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Honours degree), accredited by SEKAP, and receive at the same time the professional exemptions listed above. Moreover, P.A. College is the only specialised Business School in Cyprus which offers the following specialisations:

  • The College is in the process of submitting its programmes for evaluation by other international professional bodies so that more exemptions are secured for its graduates. Every time an evaluation exercise is completed successfully, an announcement will be placed in the national press and the College’s Homepage will be updated accordingly.
  • Banking, financial institutions, accounting and auditing firms, quasi government organizations, the public sector, software houses, and other commercial or trading organizations are some of the most usual employment alternatives for P.A. College graduates.
  • P.A. College graduates are highly sought after and most of them already have very good positions in their organizations, with excellent career prospects.
